Message: Im thinking of obtaining my self an older Ramcharger for a project 4x4 fixer upper. I've decided what I want to do with my life (mechanic eventually own my shop). Im starting votech school next term and thought no better way to learn than to have my own "project vehicle" besides my Dak! Any thoughts on a Ramcharger? Of course I would be putting a lot of new stuff into it. Anyone out there with one with good to bad things to say about it?
Thanks for the info.

Message: If you want a Ramcharger then get one. Probably has a 318ci in it. My tastes go to the International Scouts and old Ford Broncos. This is because of axle beef and engine. but with work the Ramcharger should be awesome offroad. Just get some Boggers and youll be able to go anywhere, except the street.

Message: Get a Jeep. They are in my opinion the best 4X4 ever. Get early 90 or mid 90 I like the Cherokee, I used to have a 1995 and I loved it

Message: I had a 85 4x4 Ramcharger a few years back when I lived in California. It had the 360 and a 4-bbl. I put an aftermarket 4-bbl, headers, exhaust, and Jacobs ignition on it and it ran really well. It had the stock suspension with Rancho shocks and 32x11.5x15 tires. They use a soild front and rear axle which is probably best for off road. Mine was really clean in and out with everything running and working perfectly. I sold it for a mere $2500 on trade to a dealer, he probably got more like $4000 for it. I sure wish I had it now as my R/T is not going to be cool in Montana winters.
