Message: CHRYSLER EXTENDS WARRANTIES
As America enters the holiday season, more and more people will be travelling by car than any other time in recent memory. Peace of mind is more important than ever. In response, Chrysler Group today announced its "Home for the Holidays" program, which will provide - at no charge - a seven-year/100,000-mile powertrain protection plan on any 2001 and 2002 Chrysler, JeepĀ® or Dodge vehicle purchased between November 1, 2001 and December 31, 2001.

"0% APR financing on select 2002 vehicles and 7 year or 100,000 mile powertrain protection on new 2001 and 2002 models. "
If you hit their website it sounds like they're saying all 2001 and 2002 dodges have an extended warranty.
Is there a lawyer in the house?

Go back and ask them if they will do that for you. Thats BS! I can understand anything after maybe 25 days but I think you should go try for it.

Message: Heck I bought mine 6 months ago and I only get 3 years 36,000 miles. I asked about the 7 year 70,000 the Dodge used to have. The sales man said that was only on Plymoths. Now they do this!It leaves a sour taste in my mouth as well. That makes alot of sense. Lets reward disloyal customers but screw the ones that kept buying inspite of soft market.

Message: there is a deductible on this warranty. I don't know how much $25,50, 75? So it may not be as good a deal as you think.

Message: I have only had my 01 Dak for 4 months and it is very irritating that I got screwed outta the extended warranty, not because I keep the vehicle that long, cuz I actually trade up every couple years anyway, but because my vehicle is now less valuable than another 01 Dak purchased with the new extended warranty. Gonna make my trade and/or resale that much tougher in a couple years when other Daks are out there with the extended warranty, now that $%##@# me off!!!!!!!!! Thanks DC...

Message: I have never had any problems with warrenties on any of my vehicles until I bought my Dodge Dakota. It has been one problem after another. I recently had the wheel snap off. Yes, I said the wheel came off of the truck. The whole front end has to be replaced because of a defective part. Then I find out that chrysler does not give out rent a cars. My truck will take at least a week to fix and I have no way of getting around. You have to purchase that seperatly, I was never told that when I bought my truck. I WILL NEVER BY ANOTHER CHRYSLER VEHICLE AGAIN!!!

Message: I purchased an extended warrenty when i bought my 2001 QC. I bought the truck used with 16k miles on it. I have only had 1 issue with the transmission and i did not get a rental car with the factory warrenty but i do with my extended warrenty.
Over 44k miles now and still trucking, knock on wood.

Message: I Sold New cars for 12 years and part of that time I was In F&I and sold warranties as well. Most manufacturers offer several different plans and usually some will include a rental car and some won't. Just make sure you get what you want. Alot of times the F&I person will push the lower version cause they can mark it up alot higher and most F&I people make their money by commission so the would much rather sell you a warranty that costs them 250.00 for 700.00 than sell you one that costs them 700.00 and they can usually only get a couple of hundred over that out of them.
