Message: Sorry, this is a little self serving, but I need a little pick me up. Just found out I might have to put my best friend in the world to sleep. My Chocolate Lab "Cadbury" may have a tumor in his leg. My choice's are to put him down, or amputate. Tough choice. Sorry, again, just needed to vent a little.

Message: John, man, sorry to hear about your pooch. I hope you find out a better choice, but whatever you choose, I know it will be tough on you. I know this, it is very hard on a dog to loose a leg.
Stay in touch and let us know how both of you are doing,
Rascal

Message: Ohhh, so sorry to hear that. On the other hand, I have met a few 3-legged dogs that seemed pretty happy. Are the chances good that he will be healthy with no reoccurance or spread afterwards?
Good luck to you and to Cadbury.

Message: Awwww, I love Labs; I have a g.retriever that I've had as a pet for over half my life now and it just wouldn't feel right to not have him around. I'm sorry, but I don't think the one leg would stop ot from being happy, I mean, it's a LAB! How can those dogs get unhappy...

Message: john i know what your going thru my great dane started limping 4th of july.took her to the vet and had an x-ray done and the doctor said it was bone cancer in the knee.had her on pain killers for 3 months she was eating and wagging her tail so i knew she was still strong and happy.
as the cancer grew to 4 times the size of normal.
then when she stopped eating and i could tell she wasn't happy any longer i had to put her down.it was the hardest thing i ever had to do.
im telling you this so that you will know when it is time.
