Hey guys and gals,
I am getting ready to install a remote starter/alarm/remote in my 98 Dak. I was wondering if there was any place online that had wiring diagrams of the ignition system. Also, I have been looking for a Haynes manual, do they have them for 98 Daks yet? Thanks Tim

Dont get the Haynes. Get the Dodge Manual. Its 100 times better. It will have everything in there you need the Haynes will leave little things out.Go to the website that makes your remote starter they might have a diagram.

Wow, quick responses!!! :) I looked at the sight and they just have the wires you are supposed to connect to, ie. starter... They didn't have the individual vehicles. :( I will call try to get a Dak manual though. I just like the Haynes because a lot of it is idiot proof and works for me... :) Thanks Tim

Tim, I also have a 98 Dak, I bought the 98 Dakota Sevice Manual from the dealer. It was expensive I think it was about 90 bucks, but worth every penny. It has any wiring diagram you might need in it plus anything else on your truck. The chiltons or Haynes manuals don't even compare to this book. Shoot me an e-mail if you want me to look something up for you if you don't want to buy the service manual. I would be happy to help.

Tim, I am looking for the same information you are but for a 2000 dodge dakota. I found wiring for the 98 on www.genesisdj.com/wiring.html
there is also another site that has the information you may have needed www.the12volt.com
I know this message is sent fairly late, but thought that someone else may also be able to use it.

i have a 94 dakota v6 im swapping in a 360 magnum im having a prob with the engine harness plugging to the trucks underhood harness ,sure i ccoul replace it with 1 for a v8 dakota but i cant find one . i wandered if anyone has been through this before and coul possibly know the way around this , thanks heath

I'm am looking for a wiring diagram for a 1994 dakota sport V-6. i can't seem to find one that is any good....chilton sucks...haynes is worse... is there anywhere on the web to buy(hopefully cheap...i have a small budget) or view a complete wiring diagram for my truck?
please help...i'm dying to see my truck kicking ass again.

buy a factory service manual people. ther are many many pages of wiring diagrams and pictures there including splices, connectors, fusable links etc.
