Subject: rusted frame by parking brake bracket IP: Logged
Message: Hi -- The frame around the parking brake bracket
near the left back wheel has RUSTED out. I haven't
had an emergency/parking brake for a long time.
Reverse has been my parking brake for a long time.
I took it to several body shops and they wouldn't
(couldn't) weld a plate on the frame so the
bracket could be reattached. Why wouldn't the
shops weld a plate on the frame? Is there a fix
for this? Thanks!!
