Message: Has anyone compared a zanio products finish with a finish applied by a company called MING. I live in the midwest and this company states it will remove high spots, I assume like a clay bar, and apply a finish that will last for approx 3 years.
I am not extremely happy with the finish on my red/silver 01 QC. I have used Meguires but I believe there is a better shine out there. The MING job is 200.00 but before I get serious about it I would like some testimonials from other truck owners. Any experience?

Message: I have not heard of MING. But I am a big fan of Zaino. Zaino is a car polish that will shine as good as any. A coat will last for about 6 months. At about $4 a coat thats about $24 for 3 years. Of course the more coats you add the deeper the shine gets as it layers. It is addictive and you will likely spend more. :)
Some questions I would have about MING:
What does MING say about optical clarity after three years?
What SPF rating does MING offer? (Yes SPF same as used for suntan lotion. Zaino has an SPF rating of 40, that means your paint won't fade.)
What is required after 3 years? Recoat for $200?
What if you do nothing after 3 years?
What does MING warranty cover?
MING may be a very fine product. Having prepared show cars for 20+ years I have tried many products. Since I found Zaino 2 years ago, I have been convinced nothing stacks up.

Message: Mark, Thanks for the respose. I did a little research on MING and found it is a paint sealant. It said if you run it through a car wash it would dull and if you put a coat of wax on it the finish could dull. Sounds a little funny to me. I will order the zanio products. Do you really think a new truck should need the clay bar treatment? The clay bar sounds like a lot of effort and time. BTW I looked at some pics of your truck, Nice looking truck.

Message: The clay bar is not that bad to do. It took less than 30 mins to do my truck when I got it. I do my vehicles annually anyway. The bar is good at getting little specks of trash. For instance, got any rail dust from the maiden voyage?
Be sure and wash 1st with a good degreaser, like Dawn and follow the directions. I'm sure you will be pleased with the results.
And thanks for the kind words.
