Subject: Low beams don't work
IP: Logged

Message:
A few weeks ago I did the dreaded heater core replacement. I got everything back
together fairly well, I thought, but apparently I missed something somewhere.

The low beams of my headlights don't work. High beams work, fog lights work, turn
signals, night driving lights, interior lights, dash lights, etc. all work. Everything works
except the danged low beams.

I've read around the internet and thus tried replacing the turn signal switch and the
multi-function fuse. I checked all the possibly relevant fuses in the cab and under the
hood, and none of them are blown.

I am really stumped here. Any ideas what I missed?

Here is another clue. As best I can tell, when I flick the high
beams on, the high beam light indicator on the dash does
not illuminate.

I always post when I solve problems myself in case
someone in the future has the same issue.

This one turned out to be the wire harness going into
the multi function switch (turn signal switch). When
I replaced the switch, I hadn't noticed that two of
the wires (#s 19 and 20 if I'm right) had fallen out
of the plastic housing. I pushed them back in with a
pair of needle nose pliers and everything was aces.
