Subject: clunking noise..... IP: Logged
Message: 2006 dodge Dakota v8 4x4 has been making a clicking noise every time you turned the wheel such as putting into a parking spot, turning a corner.. I was told it's the tie rod. But today while backing out of a parking spot it clicked like normal and as soon as I straightened the wheel and started driving there was a loud clunking noise that doesn't go away out almost sounds like a gear is turning and there is a rod sitting on top being bounced around as the gear turns. I looked and I don't think it's the tie rod but I do not know.

Message: Replace your upper and lower ball joints and have
your truck aligned after that. Also check the
control arm bushings and steering linkage inspected
for excessive wear.
