Subject: Truck is having problems IP: Logged
Message: Hey guys I need some help, I was driving around yesterday and in the process od passing someone, I noticed my truck wasnt going any faster even though I made it downshift. When I floored it off the next light it went ok but not like normal, but then trans shifted out of first early like at 3000 instead of normal 4700 to 4800. And in 2nd gear had like no power and again shifted early into 3rd, but instead of going right in to third, tries to make up which gear it wants to go into. Sorry for the bad description, anybody have a suggestion on what is the matter? Thanks

Kinda sounds like a downshift cable, but didn't someone say that there is no cable on the 4.7L because it's fly-by-wire?
Seriously, sounds like the cable is out of adjustment... or maybe the throttle position sensor.
See, thats why automatics SUCK. :0P
I've never had an automatic that I liked the shift points on. Got the stick, found out that my V-6 goes like a bat out of hell between 3000 and 4500 RPM. Ohhh yeah...
Um...
I need to go take a drive.
