Message: Why did Dodge design such a hard to get to heater core and replacement process. Are there any clear directions to R&R the heater core. Man. Where can I get help. Haynes, Chilton?
Why did Dodge ever stop building the Dakota.

Message: I used a Haynes book to change mine on a 2002 dakota. It
pretty much showed everything you need to do. One thing it
didn't show was the 3 nuts that need to be removed on the
firewall to get the housing loose. The top two are easy but the
bottom one was a pain. We had to take a heat plate off to get
to it. I'm by no means a professional on working on trucks but I
did it in my own garage. Having a buddy around would help a
lot on certain things. Hope I helped some how.
