Message: I got a pair of aftermarkets for my 2000 from the headlightwarehouse.com last year. I think they were $40-50 each. I bought them off Ebay, but here's a link to thier website,, http://www.headlightwarehouse.com/
The aftermarkets are cheaper that OEM, but if the OEM POS lights crack and discolor after a couple of years, why buy the OEM's?

Message: Thanks for the response. That is a cool site! Do you know if they "plug in" to the existing wiring harness or do you have to re-wire them? I like the looks of the lights, do they have glass lenses? They look like they are pretty good.
Thanks again.

Message: Are you talking about these lights,,,, http://www.headlightwarehouse.com/shop/shopping/product_details.php?id=2200 ,,,, or some others you found on thier site? I know these lights fit the DAKs perfectly. They don't come with the light bulbs, so you need to re-use your old ones, and since they re-use your old light bulbs they will connect to the stock wire harness. These lights are for 97-99 Daks, but they fit my 2000 just fine.
These lights have plastic lenses and are of the same quality (crappy) as the OEM lights. These are as nice as the OEM lights, but if you want some real nice lights with glass lenses, you'll have to look else where.

Message: DSW,
Yeah, I'm talking about those. So they do have plastic lenses. I don't mind the plastic lenses if they used a different kind of plastic. How long have you had them? and are they still holding up? Those are probably the ones I'll go with IF they are holding up for you. I don't want to spend a whole hell of a lot of $$$ on fog lights, but I can swing $55 ea. I like the fact that they are just light fixtures.
Thanks again for your help. :D

Message: I have had mine for about 1 1/2 years and they are still in good condition. The lenses are not cracking, spidering or turning yellow like the OEM fog light lenses did, but the stock ones were 2-3 years old when I replaced them. I guess if they go another year without cracking or yellowing they will have been better than the OEM's.
These lights are realy close to the OEM's, only minor variations in the housing. You can barely tell them apart from the OEM's since the reflectors and lenses look the same ;-)

Message: the pilots are cheaper and are glass . You just splice the wires to the new one and use the same mounting bracket . Just take out the old ones and the pilots fit inbetween the sides of the old bracket , use a self tapping screw and that's it , the bracket is plastic because it uses a floating ground .......... I've had mine for a year and no probs and bought them at wallmart ......................
