Hello-
I have an 04 Dakota, bought used a few months ago. I am having a problem with the central locking feature, I think.
I do not have a key fob currently, as one did not come with it. I only use the key to unlock the vehicle. However, with the key I can only unlock the driver door. If I turn it twice in 5 seconds, none of the other doors unlock. Also, when I open the drivers door after driving, only the driver door unlocks. The auto lock feature works fine at 15 mph.
My question is, can I program it so that when I open the drivers door all the doors unlock? And can I program it so that I can unlock all the doors with the key when I turn the key twice in 5 seconds?
Or is this a malfunction of some sort, and I need it serviced?
