Let me tell you my story. In Nov.1998 I purchased a 1998 Dodge Dakota R/T the amazing thing is it was on the lot for 8 months. A year later when they had the recall on them I got rid of it and lost no money at all. I then got a 2000 jeep wrangler sport. Now I am getting rid of that and getting a 2001 Dodge Dakota Sport 4x4 I placed my order on Tuesday and this is what I ordered 2001 Dakota CC Sport 4x4 with these options 4.7L MagnumŽ V8, Multispeed Automatic, Limited-Slip Rear Differential, Axle Ratio 3:92,Brakes 4-Wheel Antilock, Deluxe Convenience Group, Floor Mats Front, Heavy-Duty Service Group, Mirrors - Power Heated, Fold-Away up, Payload Rating 1,750, Power Overhead Convenience Group, AM/FM Cassette, Seat Six-Way Power, Skid Plate Group, Sport Plus Group, Steering Wheel Leather Wrapped, Trailer Tow Group, Window Rear Sliding ,Seats High-Back Bucket. It is going to be circus blue.... get it Intense. Dealer said it should be in, in about 5 weeks, I can't wait

Welcome to the club, Aaron! I ordered mine on Wednesday. I feel like a kid the night before Christmas! I'm so pathetic that I've already ordered graphics, nerf bars, and a visor for it...hehehe. One thing you might want to think about is to ask the dealer if they'd swap out the Goodyear Wrangler tires that come on it for 31x10.5 BFG All-Terrain T/A's. Mine will be swapped out before I ever see the truck! Good luck with your order! Seeeee ya

Aaron, I was told that you could not lock into the $2000 rebate. What were you told? We are only 6 weeks from the 4/3/01 date on the Dodge website. I'd hate to order, then have a later delivery and lose the rebate. It is the sole reason why I'm able to buy the truck.
BTW, you should've just said your order was fully loaded!!

HondaVFR, My dealer guaranteed me the rebate. He said that they normally get the orders in, in about 28 days but told me 6 weeks so I wouldn’t get mad if it came in late.
