Subject: 88 dakota Right turn signal issue. IP: Logged
Message: 88 Dodge dakota 450k miles. Right front turn signal does not work, nor does it blink in dash. Rear lights up fine. Hazards blink fine front rear and on dash. Dont think its turn signal switch as rear right turn signal works. Fairly certian its not bulbs as hazards work. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Message: Do remember that the front AND the rear lamps are
handled by different outlets off the multi
function switch. If the hazards work, then the
wiring from the switch to the lamp is good. If
the REAR works, then the wiring from the flasher
module to the switch works. Only thing left IS
the switch.
I ALSO suggest locating a copy of the service
manual, where it becomes clear that the front and
the rear are handled by different sections of the
switch.
To recap - repair or replace the multi function
switch, and you should be good to go.
