Subject: dodge dakota heater IP: Logged
Message: i have a 93 dodge dakota le with a 5.2. the heat in the truck works as long as it is in motion, but when the truck is sitting still the heat wont blow. i have changed the blower motor and that wasnt it. i was told it is probably the heater controls but i would just like to get some different opinions. any help would be great thank you!

Message: Sounds like the Resistor for the blower. Try the different fan speeds. Sometimes they all dont blow out at the same time. Its a cheap dealer part. I think its about $15 and only takes two screws to attach to the passengers side of the firewall from the engine compartment. Usually you can look at it and see that its blown. It will have some burn marks on the circuit board.
