I have a '96 that I did the same exact thing to a few years back, and there were no ill effects to any part of my truck. Why is it falling out? If it is the universal joints, they are pretty cheap to replace...

hi! thanks for the reply, but yea, my truck has the cv joint type and there is a nut on the outside of the hub\rotor and not sure if thats what holds everything together. But also, Im broker than broke at the moment, kids movin back home have me tapped out to the last penny, sheesh this is horrible! Never fails, when you depend on them the most is when they break! but still not sure if it can be removed and remain operational for a few days, also, I cant believe the gas milage with this truck 11 maybe 13 mpg tops! with a 3.9 V6?? but do you or anyone else know if this cv drive axle can be removed and the truck driven for a few days? apreciate your help!! thanks! I tried that with my parts truck. 89 Dakota 4x4,Removed both joints,Didn't work out to good. Both wheels fell inwards then thats where the truck stayed. As you seen figured out there's nothing to hold anything together..
