 Subject: Wheel Center Cap Idea

I lost my wheel center cap - 2.5" diameter.
I used a 2" Knock Out Seal - found in the electrical section of Home Depot - after adjusting the flanges in the back - it fits great.
From a distance you can't tell it from the originals.

I got the idea from another auto forum.
You can find the original center caps on Ebay for around $18 - $25. after all the bidding and shipping is done.
I have a 2000 QC 4x4 3.9L with 150K miles. I just had new breaks, tires, oil change, transmissions adj/fluid change - it runs great - 16.5 mpg city 20.5 mpg highway @60mph
I also tow a 3K LB trailer with it - then I get about 14mpg @ 60mph.

don't know about some of you guys but some people on this forum are really stupid. Some of you seem to be some of the most judgemental a$$holes I have ever seen. the point is to be able to get answers to problems without having to be ridiculed. Sorry if someone is embarrassed to ask a mechanic a question(in person) or doesn't know everything. I know none of you nkow everything either. I can't belevie that whoever mediates this site lets this happen. If you have people who really need help with their vehicles and read this $hit no way are they going to post their questions. Of course this does not apply to everyone; but do some of you get off on making people feel stupid? When the truth is those people are the ones that searched for answers on the internet and have no idea what they are talking about
