 Subject: 01 dakota 4wd issue

01 Dakota 4x4 4.7L 4wd doesn't work until I drive
for at least 20 min then it works fine until it
sits for a few hours. When it's not working the
green 2wd light stays on with the switch in any
position. Once it begins to work everything works
correctly. Any help would be appreciated as it's
winter here in MN and roads are icy.
