Has any one tried running a stock 2nd gen V6 dakota
on ethanol or higher percentages of ethanol mixed
with gas? If so, how did you get it to do it?

It will run on ethanol but mileage will suffer and the ethanol will attack all the rubber components in the fuel and emissions systems. They were not designed to handle anything more than about 10% ethanol from the factory.
