Check service records
How does it idle?
Pull the dip stick, Visual check of oil and top of
stick
is it Auto or stick?
Stick, check feel of clutch while driving and
shifting
Auto, checking shifting while driving does it lag
or shift hard?
Pull trans stick, check color of fluid and smell
it
does it smell burnt?

I think Vito was referring to problems that the `03 & `04s might be prone to...To which, I don't know myself.

Thanks Curly, but other Bill has the right idea.
Now my question is about the AWD system. This particular
truck is an 03 QC 4.7 AWD with hi lo option. Truck is
otherwise in mint shape.
Any reviews on the AWD 7 years later?
