 Subject: help stalling 1990 dd 3.9

Hey what's up I'm just wondering what would cause my 90
auto Dakota to stall only in drive gears being 1,2 or d when I
take My foot off the gas.. but if I have my foot on the break
and gas and slow let off the gas it will stay running and when
it does die it starts right back up no problem just does it
every time now...

Ps cleaned tb checked all vacuum hoses I wanna replace tps
and map but wanna make sure that's the problem

Are you saying this doesn't happen if the tranny is in reverse? I would think it odd if it stalled in the forward gears but not in reverse
Does this happen when you are in motion or when you are stopped... or both?
If only when you are stopped and idling, the Idle Air Control Valve might be worth looking at.

Would this year model have a locking torque converter? That would explain the staling in any forward gears.
