 Subject: Door Latch Stuck

Driver Door latch is stuck in the locked position. Door is open but I can't close the door. The latch is stuck in locked position. I figure I have to take off the door panel etc., unless there is a quick fix?
This all started when the dome light started flickering and going on/off while the car was off and locked. I started messing with the latch and pushed it into the lock position on accident.

Be sure the door is unlocked.
Pull the handle as if to open the door and hold the handle in this position.
With a screwdriver or other implement, try to rotate the latch teeth in the opposite direction you moved them before. They're not spring loaded, that's why you have to move the latch teeth manually.
