Hi all,
I just bought a 92 dakota 3.9l, it has a few issues that i can't tell if are related/easily fixed.
First the fuel guage reads empty all the time, heving looked through the boards here it sounds like i need a new fuel pump, however will probably manage using the odometer until i can do this. There a a few other things that i am unsure about though....
The radio displays the time however when you turn it on it only picks up white noise/static, i took the dash off and pulled the radio out but there are only 2 wiring looms plugged into the back, can anyone tell me which is the aerial as it acts as though it isn't attached?
The interior dome light doesn't work, sounds most likely to be a fuse, could this be reponsible for any of the above problems too?
There is also a red cable coming off the positive terminal of the battery that isn't connected to the battery, this leads to a small box under the main fuse box under the hood, i assume this should be connected?? any ideas what this lead is for????
I should say it runs fine and starts first time with no issues, any help anyone can give would be greatly received.
