Message: I have a 97 2.5L Dakota. Motor runs great, when it runs. No ticks, knocks, etc. In neutral it used to rev fine, but it wouldn't rev under a load. I thought it was the fuel pump, replaced with new, it wasn't the issue. It definitely seems like it is a fuel delivery issue. Could it be a bad injector? There are no trouble codes and no check engine soon light.
