I have a dash light and P-code telling me I have an issue with an O2 sensor. If I remember right, wthere are 3 O2 sensors on a 2001 Dakota. Is there a way to determine which one may be bad?

What's the code? Each sensor generates it own codes.

That's the downstream sensor on the left side. If there's only one downstream sensor, then it can't be any easier.

Bob means the one after the cat converter, right?

Izzy, my 01 has 4 sensors, two on each header, before the Y pipe. One before the cat on each header.

Like my 01 4.7, it probably came with 3 cat converters. Maybe that's where you got the 3 from.

My third one is now relocated. There are no 02 sensore by the 3rd one, after the y pipe.
It had a fine mesh screen completely covering the tailpipe, before the cats elements- looked very restrictive to me.

First I relocated it to a shelf in my garage, then, to a dumpster.

I've changed out two of my 02's so far, not so hard. Get the one that plugs right up, now the less expensive that you have to splice the wire.
