Just hoping a majority of owners may reply so I can replace my OEM "jittery" shocks with better ones. And if so, are they easy to replace? It seems most owners know of the issues with the OEM's anyway. Thanks for the help guys.

The rear shocks are very easy to replace, the front ones aren't too bad, but the top bolts were a little tough to get to in my 2000 2WD Dak. Still, it was no big deal.

I replaced the stock shocks with Monroe Sensa-Trac shocks a few years ago, and I don't like them. They are a bit harsh. If I could do it over (which I think I need to do, as the replacements are now four years old and are starting to leak), I would just go with regular Monroes or Gabriels or something. I don't off-road the truck too much, and I go slow when I do.

I have Fox Shocks on my dune buggy, and you can't beat the way you can fine tune them for the application. They are just WAY too much money for the truck!

I would not buy Gabriels, ever again. These had only 4 years and 65K miles on them. I crushed the shock housing with one squeeze of the hand:

Man those shocks got rusty! Do you live where they salt the roads?
