Did you also have the transmission fluid filters changed?

It should be the 42RE...

It could be a couple of things...

1. Valve body malfunction, probably from the
flush.
2. Front Servo/Kickdown Band damaged or burnt.
3. Governor circuit, a scan tool can pick this
up.

Did they put the right fluid in?
Hope it helps.

Ouch.
Two reputable transmission shops in our area state 'flushing' a trans is bad...That it typically causes more problems than it fixes. As a matter of fact, one will not perform this, the other will only do it at the customer's request and they adimantly do not recommend it. Both also advise against servicing (changing fluid and filter) if it is not done around the scheduled interval recommended by the mfg. Both state this also can cause problems buy freeing up 'stuff' that can clog up the valve body.

I would take it back to the shop that flushed it. It wasn't malfunctioning prior to them working on it.

Good luck!
