Message: Head gasket problems were common on Neons. But if it has 94k on the clock, the gasket may have already been replaced.

Message: Head gasket problems were fixed mid-97 model year. Brales are a good as anything out there. Auto transaxles can have issues due to inadequate cooling (rare though), but 5-speeds are rock solid.

Message: It is an auto trans. I had also heard of the heads gasket problems on earlier models. We'll see. No documentation but, by looks and inspections, very well maintained. I see no one here with personal experience with them though.
