Subject: Transmission Filter Question
IP: Logged

Message:
I'm doing a filter change on my 1997 Dakota 5.2 Auto and the
last time I did this I noticed that when I unscrewed the filter, the
"bundle of wires" that go to the various electrical components
was in between the filter and the valve body. I noticed that I
could move it to the side of the filter while I was putting the new
one on, but I put it back where it was instead because I didn't
want to try anything new. Does anyone know what I'm talking
about? If so, would you have any insight as to where the wire
harness / bundle should go in accordance to the filter? I just
don't know if it's covering up a crucial part of the valve body or
something.

I haven't had any problems so far coming up to 275,000 miles
(knocks on wood) but I'm just wondering where those wires go,
around or in between the filter?

Thanks!
