ok i have done other cars and trucks before. my question is after the steering wheel is off what will i be looking at? some sort of locking plate? will it require the use aof a gm similar tool to remove the locking plate? i have never seen inside of a dodge truck column help me out here.

Rebuilt, you are correct it is almost just like the GM stuff, I think to change the key lock its a little different but nearly the same.
