Subject: New to offroading had question IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2000 reg cab dodge dakota with 4 wheel drive. Its all stock. When I go hunting I have to go on this offroad trail. Its got alot of big puddles and some ruts. I am new to offroading and my 4 wheel drive has gotten me through everything the only thing I worry about is bottoming out. The other day on my way to my spot I went through this puddle and I got through it and my car stalled it just stopped and then I tryed to start it and it wouldnt start. Tryed several times and nothing it just wouldnt turn over. I waited about 20 minuets and tryed again and it started fine and ran fine. What is it that proboly caused me to stall and what can I do to make this not happen? Is there any tips that I can have because I do not want to ruin my truck I cant afford to do alot of work on it let alone screw it all up.
Thanks, Steven

Message: No biggie, the air filter or something electrical got wet, dried out and went back to normal, try not to hit the puddle so fast. Your truck should read you a code if something was wrong.
