Message: So I've got a strange issue. It happen a while ago that my head
lights (low beams) went out and only the high beams now work. The
bulbs are fine. Any thoughts on where I should start?

Message: common problem with rams, it's usually the multifunction switch (one on steering wheel that turns on high beams).

Message: Fuses are good.
I'll pull the multifunction switch and check the pins to see whats
going on.
I should mention that I was having some weird electrical issues
before this where the instrument lights would go out and and the
radio and indicators wouldn't work until I stopped the engine and
restarted. It was an intermittent problem that would only happen a
few time s a year.

Message: All the problems I'm having do seam to go with a faulty central
timing module. How do I go about finding the part number to order
a new one? Is it as simple as pulling the unit out and reading the
sticker?

Message: I know for certain the hilo switch on my 99 dakota's
multifunction switch is at fault. It clicks from
low to high fine, but it won't click back from high
to low properly. I can pull out the multifunction
switch easily but can I take it apart and find (and
fix) the broken or misplaced switch?

Message: Its your switch, I just replaced mine the part is between 30 to 50 bucks depending on your dimmer and fog light setup. It took me about 10 minutes to replace mine, its two harness plugs. About the easiest repair i have had to do on my truck yet.
