Howdy everyone,
I have a 2001 Dodge Dakota SLT 4.7L V8 with 5 spd Manual transmission. I bought it used about a year ago. 6-8 months after I bought it I began to have transmission problems where I had trouble shifting it into 2nd gear.. brought it into a repair shop and they replaced the clutch and transmission... after that I was shifting great.. then couple months after that I began to have problems starting out from a dead stop like at an intersection.. when letting out the clutch it starts to shudder, jerking like the the transmission is slipping or grabbing 1st gear. Seems like the whole engine is shaking, sometimes really bad.
1. what could this be?
2. is it possible to replace manual transmission with an automatic transmission?
