My husband has 2005 Dakota and we have a baby that is almost a
year old and is in need of a convertible car seat. Does anyone know
what car seat will fit in the back? He has the extended cab with the
little jump seats.

Jump seats that fold down from the side?
No child seat should go there. The child seat goes in the front passenger seat, AFTER you turn off the passenger seat airbag. And it faces rearward. Grab your owners manual and read about it.

No its the ones that fold down from the rear of the cab and it has
the LATCH system on the passenger side.

Thanks for the concern. Right now the baby is in the infant carrier
rear facing in the front seat with the airbag off and even with the
airbag off I'm still 100% comfortable with the baby being there. I
have tried three different seats in the back and none seam to fit. If
you do ever find someone that knows what will fit please post it for
me. Thanks!
