Message: I desperately need to replace my front brake pads & rotors and have purchased new ones, and got as far as jacking it up and taking the tires/wheels off. Not really sure where to go from here... can anyone help? Im told there should be two bolts to remove the caliper, where the heck are they? Guess this is what I get for tryin to save money and not go to the mechanic! lol

Message: If you don't have one yet get a Haynes or Chiltons repair manual. For 20 bucks you can't go wrong, especially for the routine repairs.
Disc brakes are relatively easy to change. When facing the wheel, the caliper bolts go in on the back side of the caliper. Be careful when reinstalling them not to crossthread them. From what I've heard they can strip out the bolt holes pretty easily.
But that was not my experience. Once you remove the caliper, I use a 4" C-clamp and one of the old pads to push the caliper piston back into the caliper. Since you're changing the rotors also, you'll need to remove the caliper mounting bracket which should also be easy. 2 bolts.
Before installing the new pads make sure you clean the slides and the bolts good then lube them with a hi temp brake grease.
I may have skipped a fe wthings but that should be the basics.
