Message: i have a 2004 dakota4.7 twd slt.i would like to know how much of the back dick brake is used when braking in everyday traffic.an should they be changed when the fronts are changed.

Message: Glad you stopped using the dick brake. That must hurt.
Inspect all linings and rotors at the same time, but you will find that the fronts wear faster. They provide about 70% of the stopping force, due to transfer of inertia to the front when stopping.
