The PCM just bit the dust on my 2001 Durango 4.7 4X4
It stall, doesn't start etc until I wiggle the connector at the PCM. I changed the connector and it still does it indicating it is a cracked solder joint, etc within the PCM.
AutoZone showed remanufactured ones but then when I went in to order it they said their vendor is out of them.
Several online sites claim to have them. But I don't want to get scammed or wait weeks for a PCM.
$260 is the going price and they plug in your VIN for emmissions, etc.
If I could get an aftermarket for not much more I would just do that.
I have an extra PCM from a 2000 Dakota with a manual.
It gets my Durango running but NO BUS error and no gauges.

Well I ordered one yesterday. The forums have been SLOW. LOL! I finally posted here after I gave up on finding my membership password. Maybe it expired. But I thought I got the lifetime one. Oh well....
Anyway I ordered it from a company advertising on eBay. They are sedning me a rebuilt one for $194.00 shipped which is the best deal I've seen. They want me to send my core back in a pre labelled box.
Right now the Durango is drivable with the extra PCM I bought years ago for a Dakota. It was running great. The idle a bit lower, but I like that as I don't have to hold the brake so hard!
None of the gauges work though.
I should get the rebuilt one by the end of the week.
I miss the Dakota when I need a TRUCK to haul something. But fitting the family in the Durango. I had another baby last fall so now we are a family of six!

I got the rebuilt pcm from http://myworld.ebay.com/ebaymotors/autocomputerexchange-ace/
and it seems to be working great.
$194.00 shipped. I send mine back to them as a core and then they gove me a warranty.
