Message: Hi,
I have an 2003 dodge 1500 Ram, and when I run the self- check in dash it gives me a code. C-Code: 23 98
00 00
Don't know what it means. To check: you hold the trip botton down and trun the key to "on" not start and whach the check system activate when done; if no pr;blem nothing shows, if there is a code one will show, but I don't know what or how to find out what this"C-Code" is
PLease help. Thank you
DJ

Message: Try it this way:
Turn ignition key to ON-OFF-ON-OFF-ON (without starting the engine) leave key in the ON position and see what comes up in the readout.

Message: "C" would be a chassis code. I haven't seen that one online anywhere. You may have to consult a Factory Service Manual.

Message: There are two categories, P-Codes and C-Codes. P-
Codes are engine related. C-Codes are support
system related, (LOL chassis)
C 23 = Headlamp switch input circuit open. Refer
to the appropriate diagnostic
information.
and sorry my book ends at C 82
00 means end of codes
I'll try and find the c98 for you so check back.

Message: Hey daddio something ain't right though, The codes
should be 4 digits early 2 digit codes didn't run to
98. My other book goes from C1963 then jumps right
to C2767. DJ are you sure you gave us the correct
codes here?
And is it 2 codes or 1 ex. 23 & 98 or 2398 ???
