Message: The reason the older folks say not to wax a new paint job is because in the past, it took a while for the paint to cure to full hardness after you bought it. Nowdays they "bake" the paint on and it should be fully cured before it leaves the factory. I would either use Xymol cleaner wak or the Meguiers 3 step system. (scratch x, crystal bright polish, and carnuba wax)
Hope this helps...

Message: Try WD-40 or if you mountain bike there is a chain cleaner/degreaser that should take it off.

Message: try doin the whole panel like the whole hood or whole fender, where ever it is
this way you won't have a big clean spot that will stand out when the rest gets dirty

Message: Try products from zaniobros.com or if you can find some old solvent with 111 trychlor in it this will probbly work. 111 was discontinued because it caused cancer but I never believed it. I have to go wax my head now, I think I'll use some windshield wax from zanio.
