(I posted this same thing in the members area but for some reason I am having troubles logging on and viewing my own post so I appologize for the double post.)
I am starting a new project; I acquired a very nice 1990 Shelby Dakota with significant damage to the cab. I also have a 1990 Convertible with a very tired engine and tranny. So, I am going to put the convet cab onto the Shelby. But, I have found that my local Dodge dealer is really useless when it comes to these trucks (I needed the relay for the blower and he told me it was discontinued. I found it at my local O'Reily auto parts). Does anybody have a recommendation for a parts place that really knows these trucks and I can have an intelligent converation with? A google search produces a huge number of places but I really don't want to spend hours making phone calls. I'm looking for items such as exhaust, drop parts to lower the truck a little, minor performance pieces, etc. Also, any idea where I can get the rubbers from for the convertible top? Mine are OK but getting worn. Thanks for the input.
