Subject: Fan Settings '02 Quad Cab

Greetings from Amarillo, Texas! I have a 2002 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab 4.7L V8 and I've had this problem with the fan settings. As I change between the defrost, the front vents, and the floor, the flow of air does not completely change from one setting to the next. For example, if I go from the heat or a/c blowing on my feet up to the front vents so the air is blowing on my face, I can still feel a good amount of air coming out by my feet. There are similar issues when I transition from defrost to the front vents or defrost to the floor, etc...where air is coming out of vents it shouldn't be coming out of at various settings. Is there a way that I can fix this problem without taking it to the dealership or would this require me taking apart the dashboard to get to the problem. Thank you in advance!
