Has anyone here put an electric break controller on their dakota. I have a 1999 with a 318. I am towing a 7k GVW trailer loaded to about 5k. It has tandem axles with electric breaks and I would like to make them start working for me.

If your pickup has breaks, it needs to be fixed.
If it has brakes, then it can stop when you want it to.

If your rig came with the tow package, it is pre-wired (has a pig tail under the dash) for a controller to plug into...assuming you are already running a seven pin connector.
If not you will need a universal kit applicable to the controller you purchase

Thanks other bill I have the tow kit and I found the connector behind the e-brake (<-- all for you Chelsea) pedal. This should be easy thanks for pointing me in the correct direction.
