Subject: High Idle problem IP: Logged
Message: Hi there,
I'm new to this forum but I've been reading posts for a while, thanks to all of you for those precious informations.
My problem is a High Idle problem. I'm pretty sure it comes from a sensor, because the kick down seems fine. What's the name of this sensor? Where is he located?

Message: The IAC is on the back of the Throttle Body. A vacuum leak can also cause a high idle.
Check for codes first.

Message: Idle Air Control. It is a plunger on a stepper motor not a sensor. Remove it, clean the plunger and the hole it omces out of. Do NOT push, pull or twist the plunger. If you do you'll ruin the IAC.
