Message: I'm looking at an '87 4x4 to replace my '87 2x4. I'd like to move up to a 4x4 for the NE winters and for fun but the 4x4 has 180k miles on it. What is the history on the drive train? Will it last or will I have to rebuild/replace everything? Would it be worth the effort to swap motors? The 2x4 only has 120K on it and the 4x4 body is in good condition.
