Subject: Drive shaft rattle? IP: Logged
Message: I'm not sure if it's even the drive shaft but when i shift into
2nd and 3rd at lower rpm's it makes a rattling noise. When I
get to about 1800 rpm's it stops. Is this anything to worry
about? It's not a terrible noise but it's noticable, any
comments?

Message: Kyle get underneath the truck and start by shaking the driveshaft maybe your u-joints are worn...if so the driveshaft should clunk.

Message: ↑↑↑ Bitter cause i'm better!!!If you turn the driveshaft it will have some play in it but it shouldnt move side to side or up and down much, listen for a clunking sound, one of my dakotas had a vibration and i had to get the driveshaft balanced but thats rare. But dont focus solely on that, like the 2nd guy said get under and look at everything, if you dont find anything wait till it gets louder.

At least they finally spelled my last name right. Sometimes the impersonators can't even spell it when it's displayed right above.
