Both high beams went out, replaced left side. Both appeared to work intermittently for a brief period, then none. Replaced right unit. Both work when high beam switch actuated, but does not appear to be true high beam. Do not get long distance illumination, appears to be only an intensified low beam.

I had the same problem with my truck. So I got some stuff to spray on the Head light covers. It worked some what;but as it turned out. I had an electrical problem and needed a new PCM. Sounds like your truck might need a new switch,or; it could be an electrical problem as well.
