So it's time to replace my drivers seatbelt. Seatbelt? You say. Yes I say and don't leave your nine month old black Lab without chew toys in your truck. I found a replacement from the junk yard. It extended and retracted while still in the donor truck without a problem. So after I take it out of the truck and roll it up a little the mechanism will not extend. I can wrap it up more. When I move the thing around I can hear something click inside. The donor truck did not have any crash damage and I took out the belt from the back seat of an extended cab. Mine and donor truck are both 94 ext cabs.
Is the some kind of saftey locking that I triggered? and how do I UNtrigger it. I don't want to have to buy another one.
Any help on it would be great. May have a low mileage Black Lab on the market soon. LOL

I called the junk yard for a replacement belt and
they said it was against the law to transfer 'em -
safety issues and all, something or other . . .
How'd you find one? Junk yard dude a friend? Sorry
don't know about the retractor part - I need the
stationary part in the middle.

If you find an ext cab, get the seat belt assy from the back seat. It is identical to the front and almost certain to have a lot less use on it
