Hey guys I have a 03 quad cab with a 3.9L. I am about to tow a large boat and need a transmission cooler. I bought a Flex-a-lite 3820 cooler but the dealership said it wouldnt work. Can you guys point me in the right direction on how to install it? The cooler i bought uses 3/8" lines.
Basically, how do connect up my cooler?

Had mine installed at a good transmission shop. It was quite a job. Took almost 2 hours on a hoist. 2002 4.7

I have one and it bolts to back of the radiator. Its a little wacky to get the lines properly routed when removed though. My advice would be to check to see if there is a factory fit for your year. Setting it up with generic parts might be difficult judging from mine.
