Subject: Will my old rims fit on my new truck? IP: Logged
Message: I have a set of chrome steel rims that came off my 95 Dakota. They are six lug and as far as I know they are the factory stock rims. I would like to put them on a 98-99 model Dakota because I like them much better than the alloy wheels the new one has, but I'm not sure if they will fit or not, without going to the trouble of actually trying it. They are both six-lug, so I'm thinking maybe. Does anybody know?

Message: With something this simple. I suggest you go and try it. I know Jeep rims won't fit on a Dak.

Message: The bolt pattern is identical, so there's no problem there; However, rims on the earlier daks were 15", whereas alot of the newer ones have 16" rims, so clearance with the front brake hardware could be an issue. Next time you jack your truck up to check the brakes or whatever, just try tossin' one of the old rims on and see how it goes.
