Subject: Keyless entry stopped working IP: Logged
Message: The keyless entry remote stopped working on my 2004 4.7 AWD QC. My wife lost her key and remote so I only have one to try.
I found $20 replacements online but all the instructions I found required a working remote to program a new one. So I went to the dealer today and ordered two remotes and a new key. They said it would take 30 minutes and cost $250. An hour and a half and two technicians later they said that my trucks BCM (body control module) would not communicate and would need to be replaced.
What do you suggest to get keyless entry working again?

Message: Currently I am thinking that I may buy an after market can-bus alarm that includes keyless entry to replace the factory keyless entry.
